Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region (Russia) to start CBF production “Yugra-Composite”

During the Yugra Industrial Forum, the Yugra Generations Fund has presented their promising investment project Construction of the Plant for the Production of Continuous Basalt Fiber, named Yugra-Composite.

The project has been marked as a priority by the Government of Yugra, informs Generations Fund website. Currently, the survey works are being conducted and raw material samples are being tested. It was reported earlier that Yugra Generations Fund had completed pre-project works for the construction of composite materials factory.

At the same time, basalt mined in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region was tested, and a feasibility study for investment project was performed.

Basalt raw material was recognized both adaptable to streamlined production methods, and suitable for producing high-quality basalt yarns and roving.
