HyperSizer rapid-optimization software for composite designs released

HyperSizer Express software delivers the key capabilities of a full professional version, starting from the very early stages of the design process.

This software is developed by NASA-born Collier Research, a leader in the field of aerospace composites and metals optimization. The company official says that not every designer or engineer needs all the options in the professional version of their software. But all the engineers do want the robustness of a proven, core analytical code, which is fast and easy to use.

The software allows the majority of users to import their finite element model (FEM) into HyperSizer Express without a manual or instruction, and to produce optimum composite laminates that satisfy all analyses to all load cases within 30 minutes. This version is even more tightly coupled to FEA programs (such as NASTRAN and Abaqus) than is the Pro version.

The developers consider that applications of rapid-optimization HyperSizer software include turbine blades in the wind industry, and robotic end effectors in robotics technology.
