AIA 2017 conference will provide separate pavilion for composites

The Composites Pavilion, making its fourth appearance at this conference, will be an opportunity for architects, engineers, and designers to learn first-hand about the value of FRP products in architectural applications.

The COMPOSITES CHALLENGE will be held during the conference – it is a design competition where architectural students working in teams develop a novel composite architectural/building component or assembly. The challenge winners will be announced April 27 on the day of (American Institute of Architects) AIA 2017 opening. Last year this competition was called Architecture Design Challenge and the team of University of California (UCLA) won the first place.

During the education sessions, the attendees will be able to hear experts speaking about advances in architectural composites, and discussing technical elements of creating structures with composites. Some of this year’s speakers include both academic presenters and industrial experts.

The conference American Institute of Architects will be held by the American Composites Manufactures Association on April 27-29, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. For more information, please, visit an official website. You can also register there to visit this event.
