Production Commences at epm:technology Technical Centre

Production has now commenced at epm:technology group’s new £6.75 million technology centre.

The company explains staff, assisted by external contractors, are in the final stages of transferring the production facilities into the state-of-the-art, purposely designed, new building which is a first within the composite component engineering sector developed to ensure greater capacity by using key technologies which epm have been developing over the last three years including CNC component trimming using high speed precision bonding techniques and the utilisation of robotics.

Managing Director Graham Mulholland, said: “Ensuring the continuation of production throughout our transitional period has been imperative and I am extremely proud to say that that goal has been achieved seamlessly which is a great testament to the entire epm team who have made it all possible.

“In reality, our new building has been ready for us since mid-July, though our final decision to move has been hampered somewhat by our utility suppliers. That said, in truth we have also been literally too busy to down tools en mass and move production to the new site which, of course, is a phenomenal position we found ourselves in and a tribute to everyone involved.”

The new building has been made possible after epm: technology group secured a £4.75 million Derby Enterprise Growth Fund loan from Derby City Council after the local authority secured a Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
