ComposiCAD-ESAComp solution for composite pressure vessel simulation

An analysis module for composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPV) is one of the recent additions in ESAComp software.

The main activity of Global Basalt Engineering LLC is creation of effective productions on release of continuous basalt fiber (СBF) with technologies of the last generation and composites on the basis of СBF (Basalt Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Composites as BFRP).

In this webinar Michael Skinner (Seifert and Skinner & Associates) will demonstrate how to build a pressure vessel in ComposiCAD, from the preliminary design to the construction of the laminate and the export to ESAComp.

The subsequent simulation work-flow in ESAComp is illustrated by Harri Katajisto (Componeering), including material data definition, analysis settings and post processing. A design modification is introduced and the process is re-run to demonstrate the responsiveness of the tool set.
