Effect of basalt raw material modification on the fiber crystallization properties

The data presented in the work imply that strength loss increases with the rise of phosphorus oxide concentration, which may follow the structure imperfection increase caused by the activation of liquation processes in the amorphous matrix.

Carrying out expert evaluations and updating business plans and feasibility studies of investment projects for the production of continuous basalt fiber, staple fiber and basalt composite products.

Thus, phosphate doping of basalt raw material increases the mechanical properties of the fibers obtained on the basis of this material, but at the same time reducing their thermal stability.
