Flexural Behaviour of Basalt Chopped Strands Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams

In this paper, to study the behaviour of RC beam structures strengthened by using basalt chopped strands fiber concrete.For this research work, Total 8 nos. of beams can be taken.

Necessary rock studies of the gabbro and andesite basalt groups for the suitability as the raw material base for the production of continuous basalt fiber (CBF). A unique technique including laboratory melting and pilot-industrial melting at the high-tech equipment.

The fiber is added to the concrete for various proportions of (ie., 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%) concrete mixes. This concrete beams are casted for a grade M-20 as per according to IS- 10262: 2009. After the beams 28- days to immersion the purify water then PH Value is 8. Finally, to determine the Load – Deflection, Ductility performance .This results shows that use of fiber reinforced concrete improve flexural performance of the beams during loading.
