The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has obliged 90 companies to buy innovative and high-tech products from SMBs

The Resolution No 475-р of 21 March 2016 was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and contains a list of legal entities, obliged to purchase innovative and high-tech products from small and medium-sized businesses.

Ministry of economic development prepared the Resolution pursuant to the Federal Law №156-ФЗ of 29 June, 2015, aimed at supporting and developing the small and medium-sized businesses in Russia.

According to the website The Russian Government, the customers list includes those proposed by joint-stock companies with public ownership, state corporations, state-owned companies, federal state unitary enterprises implementing innovative development programs.

The list also contains the largest 12 companies, including Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), Gazprom, Rosneft, Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, ALROSA, Russian Railways, Rossetti, Kalashnikov concern and others, whose draft plans for products, works and services procurements, draft plans for innovative products, high-tech products, medicines procurements, draft amendments introduced into such plans prior to their approval are subject to assessment in compliance with legal requirements, providing for the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the procurements.
