The young Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Vladimir Stegailov believes that light weighted and durable composites with tailor-made properties will determine the shape of the world in the coming years and decades.
Vladimir Stegailov was awarded the Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation “for the cycle of works on supercomputer multi-scale modeling of materials under extreme conditions”, – reported RIA Novosti.
“Polymer nanocomposites are on the front burner, because a hundred years ago everything made by people was manufactured mostly of metals, but now plastic is replacing metals”.
Vladimir Stegailov received the award from Russian President Vladimir Putin together with a number of other young scientists who have already achieved significant results in their studies.
The Prize to be awarded to Russian young scientists for significant contributions to advancing Russian science is aimed to encourage further research and create favorable conditions for new discoveries.
