Basalt Fibers under heat Treatment

Amorphous, inorganic fibers are converted into crystalline fibers in this research project. The principle of this examination is that ceramic fibers can be generated out of amorphous basalt fibers.

Carrying out expert evaluations and updating business plans and feasibility studies of investment projects for the production of continuous basalt fiber, staple fiber and basalt composite products.

The structure of basalt fibers is also the glass structure. The principle to create crystals in glass exists for several years in the production of glass ceramics. The crystal lattice is converted back to a crystalline structure, and the area of the thermal stability of the material is raised thereby.
