Basalt production will be able to become an area of cooperation between the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic and France. This was said during a visit of the delegate from the French Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CGPME) to the region.
The French partners expressed interest in several projects from the industry and construction sectors. In particular, basalt composites attract potential investors because the products made from these materials are in demand in the construction, automotive and other industrial sectors.
At the same time the Kabardino-Balkaria has not only a raw material base, but also a scientific basis to foster the composite industry growth. For instance, the RIA Novosti has recently cited the Foundation for Advanced Studies that Kabardino-Balkar State University is developing a 3D composite printer to use superconstructive polymers of a new generation.
