How to dissolve basalt

This research deals with non-traditional ways of silicates enrichment.

Carrying out expert evaluations and updating business plans and feasibility studies of investment projects for the production of continuous basalt fiber, staple fiber and basalt composite products.

There are reports on the prospects of basaltoids for noble-metal (Pt, Pd, Au, Ag) mineralization in the cluster chemical forms or nanocrystallites (cannot be extracted by gravity) [1-4]. In fact, these metals are scattered in the host rocks to a molecular level. These useful minerals cannot be fully extracted by either natural or technological disintegration of silicate rocks.

In this regard, there is a need to develop non-traditional ways of silicates enrichment. The simplest one is to dissolve rocks. It will help to get to the molecular level. (in Russian)
