Highlighted this year will be carbon fibre compounds, high temperature solutions and a selection of abrasion resistant alloys that are injection mouldable.
RTP engineers will be available to discuss the company’s spectrum of thermoplastic offerings, with a focus on:
- carbon fibre compounds which are lighter, stiffer and stronger than glass-filled compounds, providing a lightweight alternative to metal and glass fibre compounds without sacrificing strength or performance;
- high temperature solutions with improved performance at elevated temperatures, including retention of physical properties, chemical resistance and dimensional stability for autoclaving, reflow and high continuous use applications;
- abrasion resistant alloys that demonstrate abrasion resistance comparable to UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene), but are designed specifically for injection moulding. They are available in multiple resin and additive combinations to provide additional functionality such as wear and friction resistance, flame retardancy, and conductivity.
