Belarus is planning to invest 38 million euros in mineral wool insulation production
The project involves ramping up production capacity and modernization of mineral wool insulation machinery from Gomelstroymaterialy JSC.
Gomelstroymaterialy JSC (99.93% state share) produces a wide range of construction materials. 74% of the enterprise products include mineral wool thermal insulation materials.
The project to expand the capacity of Gomelstroymaterialy is scheduled for 2019-2020,
Expected to be installed at the plant, the third technological line for the mineral wool production with a capacity of 700 thousand cubic meters per year will increase production by 50-55%.
Moreover, they are planning to modernize the existing equipment. This process will result in cost reduction of the mineral wool products, along with improving their quality.
In 2016 basalt deposits were discovered in Pinsk district of the Brest region (Belarus). According to the preliminary assessment, a capacity of this deposit exceeds 30 million tons.
