During the Composites Europe, Roth Composite Machinery will introduce a new machine type 1-ECO designed for R&D in filament winding and small series production.
Roth traditionally presents its machine manufacturer competences in filament winding and prepreg at the largest European trade show and forum for composite materials, technology and applications.
The machine builder says that its filament winding machines are able to process basalt fiber and various other fiber types, from traditional glass fiber to tender or very tough ones.
The focus of the presentation is the filament winding machine type 1-ECO for small series production, R&D and developers, robot winding, and the ROTHAWIN technology presented at JEC World.
Roth Composite Machinery developed 1-ECO as a standardised version of the gantry-type filament winding machine and claims it is the most successful machine on the market tailored both for the single product production and small batches.
This machine is equipped with all the essential basic functions and offers the advantages Roth is known for: robustness, durability and precision.
The new machine is convincing with its modular concept of up to four spindles. A maximum of four winding axes and two length variants (up to 4,000 and up to 10,000 millimetres) are configurable. Each spindle is driven separately and thus, a simple and cost-effective retrofitting is enabled.

This year, Composites Europe is going to demonstrate a new, unusual format referred to “Process live” that will enable delegates to demonstrate not only materials and tools but also manufacturing technologies and processes right on the event site “in live”.
