The Netherlands is one of the most advanced European countries in the composite industry because of its leading-edge technology, a wide range of applications, and a successful triple-helix model for collaboration between the private sector, research institutions and the public sector.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy and top sector HTSM, CompositesNL, the trade organisation for the composite industry in the Netherlands, will organise the Holland High Tech Pavilion at JEC World 2019. This pavilion is a showcase of what the Netherlands can offer the composite industry. In addition, a number of Dutch companies and knowledge institutes will have their own stands at the event. Business cases are presented in the area of car and aerospace construction and 3D printing, in which all dimensions of the Dutch composite industry are involved. Key areas in which the Netherlands leads internationally include thermoplastic composites, automation, sustainability in composites, and applications of composites in a water environment, such as bridges, locks and ships.
On Wednesday 13 March, there will be a special programme as part of ‘Country on Stage,’ during which the flourishing Dutch composites ecosystem will be presented.
