A revolutionary carbon armature for Stop Motion animation

George is the first pure carbon fibre armature created for animation in the world.

George

George was created as the first armature for professional use and applies the most advanced composite material technology. The extremely light and yet strong structure and the technology of fixing materials used in the aeronautical industry guarantee the highest level of reliability. George is extremely strong, has maximum fluidity of movement, and maintains mobility over time and during filming, with great versatility and modularity of parts. The joints are made from carbon fiber.

The upper torso is made completely from carbon fibre. Special technology is the base of project but great focus has also been placed on the use of innovative solutions for the widest use of the armature. It featured: – limb stems made 100% from carbon rod – joint plates from carbon sheet cut and worked with CNC machining centre – hip block and other large parts from thick carbon sheet cut and worked with CNC machining centre – spherical joints in perforated and rectified stainless steel. The carbon sheets are cut and worked by tool machinery, controlled by CNC to guarantee the highest level of precision and cutting quality. The carbon rods are rounded and 3mm in diameter.
