MTHPA and MHHPA are anhydride curing agents mainly used with bisphenol A epoxy resins.
The cured substance has merits like high Tg, high mechanical performance and high thermal conductivity. Its major problem is being too fragile which limits its application in many fields. As a result, many companies have to sacrifice the quality of products to meet market’s demands.
In order to improve performance of products, some companies choose to add different toughening agents which increase the toughness at the cost of decreased Tg, mechanical performance and thermal conductivity.
According to Shen Cai Technology, they worked on the problem of cured products from MTHPA, MHHPA and epoxy resins being too fragile since 2016. They have launched nano-modified polyurethane epoxy resin series which are SC-1288N, SC-1288P, and SC-1288CF after developing and testing in over two years. The cured products from their epoxy resin and MTHPA, MHHPA have advantages including high Tg, high mechanical performance and high thermal conductivity.
Several companies have purchased these new nano-modified polyurethane epoxy resin series in bulk and test results show improvement in comprehensive mechanical performance to varying degrees.
Shen Cai Technology says that this product has large-scale application in fields of electrical and electric power, insulating equipment, insulating rod/board, capacitance resistance, high-voltage switch, transformer, dry type transformer, line output transformer, impregnation, pouring and winding of integrated circuits, explosion-proof pressure vessel equipment and special pipeline.
