The new tool-mountable sensor from NETZSCH controls the quality of CFRP parts during high-volume production. The performance of the sensor was proven during the run-time of the BMBF funded and AVK awarded project “OPTO-Light” involving the partners ARGES GmbH, AZL of RWTH Aachen University, BMW AG, Carl Zeiss Optotechnik GmbH, KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, Precitec GmbH & Co. KG and Sensortherm GmbH.
It was proven that this new sensor creates a benefit for the intelligent self-adapting process management based on the curing behavior aiming the compensation of deviations in semi-finished products and the reduction of cycle times and scrap.
