Zane Clark named CEO of SAMPE North America

The Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE) North America, announced that its CEO Search Committee has selected Zane Clark to be SAMPE’s new CEO, effective June 15. SAMPE’s current CEO and Executive Director, Gregg Balko will be staying on until July 1 to ensure the transition.

In his new role, Clark will be responsible for leading SAMPE’s dedicated team of professionals while increasing value to its members, sponsors, partners, and other stakeholders. He will lead efforts to expand the organization’s programs, including its membership base.

Timothy Shaughnessy, President, SAMPE North America said:

“Clark brings to his new position 20 years of success as an association and operations leader and as an individual contributor. He is used to delivering large and complex program solutions and driving strategy in a constantly evolving environment, something which the SAMPE organization will greatly benefit from.”

Clark is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and is a board member of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE), with experience in volunteer engagement, membership benefit development, association foundation program leadership and committee management. He is currently serving in a senior position at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). SEMA is a $148 million trade association, with a staff of 170 and a membership of 7,600 companies.
