Krempel provides thermoplastic materials for test lungs

All over the world, patients suffering from Covid-19 are being ventilated in intensive care units - and thermoplastic materials from Krempel often help. They are used in test lungs for ventilators, which check the functionality and serve for calibration.

Berlin’s reserve hospital was put into operation on the exhibition grounds, where 100 beds are equipped with these special ventilators.

Krempel materials meet the high requirements of medical technology and convince by their complex thermoplastic properties, high temperature resistance and outstanding quality. Reason enough to process them for use in human-like artificial lungs.

In the current emergency situation, Krempel has mobilized all forces and expanded production in the affected areas at very short notice. The “system-relevant materials” were manufactured with the highest priority and capacities were significantly increased by working extra shifts.
