Mitsubishi Chemical to acquire European carbon fiber recycling companies
Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation decided to acquire two German carbon fiber recycling companies, CFK Valley Stade Recycling and carboNXT, through its subsidiary Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials, as a part of the company’s efforts to promote the circular economy. The acquisition is slated for completion around early August.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation announces its intention to start up its European carbon fiber sheet molding compound (SMC) production facility in Italy. The new facility, slated to start operations in September 2020, will be located on a site adjoining C.P.C. SRL, in which MCC holds a 44% equity stake.
